Melissa graduated from Montserrat College of Art earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration with a concentration in children’s books. After many years of working in the corporate world, she now has the opportunity to focus on her artwork and pursue her dream of being a children’s book illustrator.

Melissa’s favorite medium to work in was traditional pastels, until she started experimented with Procreate and discovered an instant appreciation for this medium and has been working mostly in Procreate ever since.

Influences: Chris Van Allsburg, P.J. Lynch, Jan Brett, The Fan Brothers, Chris Van Dusen, Lisa Aisato, Chris Dunn and so many more!

In her free time, you will find Melissa visiting with family and friends, doing yoga, going to concerts, museums and bookstores, and visiting her home state of Maine as much as possible.

Melissa volunteers her time to create pet portraits for The Anti-Cruelty Society.

Melissa is actively seeking representation and client work. She is also available for commission work.
